A Pink Wreath for "Fancy That"...

I Just finished taping the second episode of  the new local cable TV show I am hosting, "Fancy That".
This is still quite new to me, and I have lots to learn but I am having a lot of fun doing it.  The show was all about dressing up your home's outside entrance.  I  demonstrated creating a
"One of a Kind" wreath and some spring door cans.
Here's  a photo from the opening of the show....

I started off with an ordinary grapevine wreath...

Worked some magic....

and the wreath was transformed from ordinary to
 EXTRA-Ordinary...

All those PINK flowers just shout out
"SPRING IS ON IT'S WAY".

I just love the  BIG PINK Hydrangeas.

I added a sheer wire edged ribbon bow.

Here's the door cans that I also made for the show. Beside hanging them on the outside of the door handle,  I like to hang a pair of  on the inside of my front door.  That way I can enjoy them when I am inside the house also!

I

I used a few different ribbons and some decorative buttons.

I ALWAYS have a wreath on my front door.  This is the wreath that I created and is hanging on my door right now.

I added this heart that hangs in the center of the wreath.

A simple message, that greets all my guests.

A Fall wreath that I created using all the colors of Autumn.

Here's a tip when using an artificial wreath for the Christmas season.  Use fresh Christmas tree greens and tuck them into the wreath.  Then your guests will never know that you used an artificial wreath.  Once the holiday season is over, remove the fresh greenery and store the wreath until next year.
Can you see where I have tucked the real greens into the wreath?

  There's a tip....
Do you have a front door that is glass?
Wondering how you can hang your wreath?
I have a solid glass front door. I use a large suction cup to hold all my wreaths. Make a hook in the back of the wreath using some floral wire and hang it from the suction cup. It works great!
You can purchase the wire and suction cup at Michaels Crafts.

Just a bit more PINK to share with you.  For the latest episode of "Fancy That"  I wanted to accessorize my outfit.  What better, than a wonderful spring time apron. I found the perfect PINK spring time fabric. I designed the apron to have lots of pockets to hold all my different tools I use in the workroom. Now, no more lost scissors! I'll know exactly where to find them.

Many of you have asked when the next episode of "Fancy That"  will air.  They are editing the episode I taped yesterday and  it should be ready this coming week. I will post as soon as it's available and then you too can  learn how to make a wonderful wreath that will welcome your guests this spring.
If  you love PINK as much as I do, head on over to  Pink Saturday.  There are so many wonderful bloggers posting and Nancy has a wonderful post about making organza roses.  Stop by and check it out.  I'm going to be trying this wonderful idea!  Looking for other wonderful sites to visit this weekend?  I'll be linking this post to....

Happy Pink Saturday Sherry....
Oh sweetie, I am so totally blown away with this beautiful Spring wreath. I wish you lived next door. I would be over there in a second with all my supplies, getting a one on one. I adore those darn cans. They are so cute. Did you cover them in paper or fabric? Are the buttons and ribbon hot glued on? They are just precious, and I imagine they make the most precious sound as someone comes in and out of the door.

Oh sweetie, I love this post. I can see why they have you taping a show. You are the BEST. We have a star amongst us. Can I have your autograph pleezzzzzz? I adore your blog and love your work.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Hi Sherry

You have great TALENT! You did a wonderful job of making an ordinary grapevine wreath into a gorgeous wreath.
I also love how you recycled tins with flowers, ribbon and paper to create something beautiful!

I can't wait for your second episode of "Fancy that".

Hi Sherry, You presented a parade of beautiful, full and fantastic wreaths! As I saw each one I was OOOOOHHHHHing and AAAAAAHHHHHing. I love their lush and opulent look. And those cans! WOW. I am very inspired. I might use the can idea and plant summer plants in them and hang them from my doorknob. Such a great idea! I can imagine how beautiful it all looks from your yard and curbside!

I too featured a wreath this week. A very different look, though.

Congratulations on your new TV show. That must be such a fun adventure... keep wearing your aprons. They are a great signature touch!

You are an artist! Those wreaths are amazing. Flower arranging is really the weakest of my crafty skills... so I am mightily impressed!

Your wreaths are fabulous! I have a beautiful front door and have been afraid to hang anything for fear that it will scratch the glass. Do you have any tips for protecting the glass? and where did you find that suction cup? (does it really hold?)

Okay- I am inspired by you! I just bought a house and I am going to make a wreath for the front door. Wish me luck! http://mykorneroffice.blogspot.com
