A Giveaway and a Beautiful Hostess Gift...

I want to share with you a great idea for a hostess gift
but first let's have a giveaway....
I'm going to hit 100,000 visitors this week so it's time to celebrate!  I am so greatful to all of you who have visited and left so many wonderful comments on my blog.
Let me show you what you can win....

What better than some spring door cans for your door. I made these just for the celebration. PINK my favorite color, and hopefully yours. These are perfect for the spring time. You can put them inside or on your front door.
And there's more...
How about a copy of one of my favorite publications,
Somerset Life.
When I first began flipping through this copy of the magazine I didn't even know that I was featured inside until I opened it up at the store!  Can you imagine the "Happy Dance" I did?

Here's how you can enter to win....
**Please note: You must write a separate comment for each entry.
#1. Leave me a comment.  Make sure I can contact you through your blog or email (so I can notify you if you win).

Want a second chance to win?

#2.  Sign up to "Follow" my blog. Add yourself as a follower on the right sidebar.  If you are already a follower, just leave me a commet and let me know.  You'll be entered again.

Want a third chance to win?
#3. Post about this giveaway on your own blog with a link to this blog post giveaway.
This giveaway will run until Thursday, March 25. The winner
will be announced on Thursday.
Good Luck...

Now let's get to learning  how to create the hostess gift.
Easter is right around the corner and this would be a perfert gift.

Here are the supplies that you will need...

  • I purchase 5 different bunches of flowers at Michaels Crafts.  Each bunch was on sale for .99 cents.

  • A teacup and saucer.  Got mine at the thrift store for $1.00

  • One teaspoon a thift store find .25cents.

  • Votive holder thrift store .99 cents.

  • Decorative button and rhinestone

  • Floral foam.

Aren't these perfect colors for spring?

Glue the teacup to the saucer using a two part epoxy glue from the hardware store. The votive holder can be glued to the bottom of the saucer. Cut a piece of floral Styrofoam and insert it into the teacup. Using a wire cutter, cut the stems of the flowers and begin to arrange them into the styrofoam. I only used half of each bunch of flowers on this arrangement.
Now, glue the spoon onto the saucer.

Embellish the spoon with a button and rhinestone.
This adds a bit of bling.

For less than $5.00 you can make this quick and easy  thoughtful hostess gift. With the left over flowers you may also want to make one for yourself.

With Easter and Mother's Day fast approaching this would be a wonderful "Creation From the Heart"
to give to someone special.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway.

Looking for some creative ideas?
This is where I'm linking up to......

Ok, I'm back, I really want to have the best shot in winning these cans. I've been a follower for a while, I saw your teacup pincushions and love your handiwork! I've also watched your "Fancy That" tutorial on the lampshade...I think I might give that a try! I do have one question, do you have a "formula" for creating your GORGEOUS wreaths? I've admired those too....you are just very inspirational!
