Custom Apron

PLEASE tell me I'm not the only person who has a project
sitting around for a year or so.

This project has been waiting for me to complete for over a year.
How embarrassing!
A friend requested two aprons.
One for her herself
and the other for her husband.

The requirement...
The fabric had to have an "Outdoor Theme".
She wanted them
 for her cottage.

They were FINALLY delivered
Today!!!

I added a coordinating check fabric and made my own bias tape.

My signature touch on my aprons,
a pretty flower that has a pin on the back so it can be removed.
I added a button to the center of the flower.

Some Ric Rak and bias tape was added to the pockets.

Matching dish gloves are a must for every Diva
 who has to was dishes.

A cute Yo Yo with a button in the center
finished off the look.

Now how to make a matching apron for her husband???

I used a simple chef style apron
and added some checked bias tape to match the large pocket.

Why not make some matching gloves for him also.
Maybe now he will want to help with the dishes!!!!!!

Have you ever put off doing a project
cause you were unsure what to do?

What project have you been putting off ???

It's a great feeling to have that off my work table.
Maybe now I can get to those pants the hubby wants hemmed!

I'll be linking up to.....

Hi - your apron is really beautiful! I found you at Somewhat Simple and heading over to your blog now to take a look around. I just posted an apron hanger on my blog this week - you can check it out at home sweet nest. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow,...what an awesome pair of aprons. I can't believe you made them never mind created them. Wow. I would be thrilled if you would share them at our Link It Up Thursday party going on until Monday. http://thesepeastastefunny.blogspot.com/2012/02/link-it-up-thursday-8.html

Sweetheart, one year is nothing. How about 4 years.... ?!! That's how long that antique chandelier has been laying under the stairs, waiting to be hung up.... or the curtain project... not even going into details there. rest assured: a year is nothing.

Good for you: you got a wow apron going here.
