The Bedroom Makeover is in Full Swing!

I have been missing!
Missing from the blog world.
I'm in full swing of  redecorating my master bedroom.
While trying to re decorate and run a business,
I have found I have little time to spend countless hours
 browse on the computer.

In 2009, I posted HERE about starting
 a master bedroom make over.
 That's right, 2009.
Well it's almost May of 2011 and I am finally getting things done.

So now I am going to give you little tease
of what I have been up to with the redecorating.

Here's what the doors on the armoire looked like
 before I started the project....

The armoire is Thomasville Furniture.
It's good furniture, but it is 24 years old and in need of a face lift.
 So, Remember just a peek.
 Here's the face lift...

My friend Sharon is a wonderful artist.
 I only painted the cabinet
and even with that I had to call on her help.
She did all the wonderful flowers.
I had an inspiration photo.
I wanted the flowers to look look weathered.

Just one more peek of another project in the bedroom.
Here's the fabric I chose for the draperies.
It's a wonderful toille.
The fabric also has a weathered look to it.

I'll show you part of the draperies.

So Here is my To Do List....
Painting the Room (Done)
Crown Molding and Glazing (Done)
Wall Paper Hallway to Bedroom (Done)
New Light fixtures (Done)

The doors look fantastic, Sherry! Your friend is very talented. I LOVE that fabric! Your drapes look wonderful and I can't wait to see the full view. It looks like you did get quite a bit done on your list. I know the sewing is time consuming, but I bet you'll be back in no time with your "after" pictures!

Wowzers what a face lift! How great that you have a friend who paints so beautifully. Can I be her friend, too - lol! Seriously, she's quite talented.

I love what you did with this fabric for your drapes. In fact, I have the same fabric. They are beautiful.

Do you mind sharing what pattern you used to make your drapes? If not, I understand.

Also, did you find a companion fabric that went with this fabric or a fabric that would compliment?
