Graduation Celebrations are in full swing around my house. Because my son just graduated, we have many friends who are having graduation parties. Well this week I helped out two of my friends with graduation projects. My next door neighbor's son just graduated and I wanted to do something special for her. Three years ago her oldest son unexpectedly passed away right before his senior year of high school. Now her other son is graduating and I offered to do the graduation memory board for her. This has been a difficult time for her, and I wanted to do something special . Instead of doing a bunch of separate photos, I decided to make five individual 12x12 scrapbook pages with different themes. Then once the party is over, she can put them in a book for him. I don't know about you, but over the years my boys have had projects, called "Star of The Week". We have quite a few poster boards around the house with photos attached to them. I never know what to do with them. Well here's what I came up with....
My good friend Maggie's son is also graduating. She is have a hall party and was looking for a centerpiece. Well here's what I came up with.
All you need is some two different ribbons, Mylar paper, photos and 8 regular candy bars.
I forgot to mention the "special" container....It's an empty can from tomato sauce! So that keeps the cost down and it worked out perfect. The school colors are royal blue and silver!
May He grant you according to your heart's desire,
We needed to make 13 centerpieces, so Maggie and two other friends came over and in 3 hours we had them all done. It was wonderful to have a get together with friends. They enjoyed it, because they got to learn how to make the centerpieces and we had a great time gabbing and creating. Tomorrow we are leaving for the State Championship golf tournament that my son is in. It should be a wonderful weekend. Wish him luck, it would be just great if they bring home the State Golf Trophy! Have a wonderful weekend.
and fulfill all your purpose. Psalm 20:4
