We were invited to a 25th anniversary party this weekend. I wanted to make a special gift. I decided to make a photo album that the blissful couple could store treasured photos from the party.
The photo album was an inexpensive photo album from the dollar store. Here's what is looked liked before the transformation.
I purchased the scrap book paper from Hobby Lobby
and the ribbon was purchased at Christmas time at Costco.
I love adding buttons to embellish my projects....
This jewel was from a pair of earrings that were a garage sale find.
I just love when I come across old jewelry.
A Big pretty satin bow tied the album shut.....
Here's the inside of the book....
The inside had a wonderful bible verse with a pretty button...
The ribbon Bow was attached with another beautiful button...
A finishing touch was a matching gift bag....
I love creating gifts made with special papers. This is a wonderful project to make for a special gift. Later this week I'll share with you some albums I made for graduation gifts. If you love to create you'll be interested in the following giveaways. Each of the following sites are giving away the new Silhouette crafting machine:

Just lovely, Sherry! I love the paper and I love that satin ribbon. The buttons and jewelry pieces really add to this creations. I've been inspired by you in that regard so whenever I am in Goodwill I always check out the jewelry counter for brooches and earrings that I can use as embellishments. These are all really pretty. Haven't found such pretty buttons yet, though.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry!
ReplyDeleteI just love it when you have a new post. I know that as soon as I open it, there will be amazing things to see {and do!} This album is so pretty. I really like all the different textures that you used, especially the silk ribbon to tie. This looks fun to make and quite memorable for your friends. As always, thanks for sharing.
